I was born in Christchurch 1952. I grew up in Redcliffs where I spent my first twenty years. I trained as a cabinetmaker after leaving school but felt a bit restricted with the straight lines and flat surfaces of the furniture I was required to make, and preferring curves I turned to sculpture for my creative expression.

I like to travel to wild places where I get my inspiration from Mother Nature and all her shapes.

I work with a lot of different types of materials but really like to reuse and recycle thing that would otherwise be wasted or discarded, e.g. demolition timbers, driftwood and old wine bottles
